Form Portfolios presents ILLUMINARI, a focused exhibition dedicated to Italian lighting designer Carlo Nason. On view during 3daysofdesign 2025 at the Form Studio in Copenhagen, the presentation traces Nason’s enduring legacy and his singular approach to glass, form, and light.
Born in Murano in 1935, Carlo Nason emerged from one of Italy’s oldest glassmaking families with a vision that merged artisanal tradition and modernist experimentation. The exhibition brings together rare and iconic works, newly uncovered sketches, and early prototypes, offering insight into a practice defined by experimentation, elegance, and technical mastery.
From his earliest pieces to later luminaires that helped shape the language of Italian lighting design, ILLUMINARI reflects on a career of quiet radicalism—where light becomes both object and atmosphere.
