Form Portfolios acquires Dansk,
preserving the legacy of Jens Quistgaard.

Acquisition will safeguard more than 4,000 designs that introduced Scandinavian design to American homes.

02/09/2026—Form Portfolios has acquired the iconic lifestyle brand Dansk, securing the long-term preservation of its Scandinavian design heritage and the creative legacy of Dansk co-founder Jens Quistgaard.

Since 2023, Form Portfolios has worked with the Quistgaard family to manage the designer’s estate. The acquisition secures the rights to his intellectual property and advances Form Portfolios’ long-term mission to protect and promote the work of designers and architects. 

“Dansk brought the warmth and timeless sensibility of Scandinavian design to the American table. We are humbled to have the storied legacy of Dansk upon our shoulders and honored to carry forward everything Dansk represents”, said Mark Masiello, Founder and CEO of Form Portfolios. 

Founded in 1954, Dansk introduced Scandinavian design principles to Americans. Its iconic products, including Kobenstyle cookware, and teak salad bowls, ice buckets, and cutlery have become beloved fixtures in homes for generations. Guided by a belief that form and function should exist in harmony, the brand defined a classic, thoughtful, and healthful way of living.

“My father was a visionary, bringing the very best of Scandinavian design to the world of Dansk. Form Portfolios deeply respects his body of work and I’m grateful they will celebrate his legacy with Dansk” says his daughter, Henriette Quistgaard. 

Following the acquisition, Form Portfolios will build on Dansk’s legacy of timeless designs, reintroducing pieces from Jens Quistgaard’s archives, while expanding the collection with new work from Form Portfolios’ roster of classic and contemporary designers.
